Children_of_Exile_jacket Our literacy team is proud to announce the addition of Margaret Peterson's "Children of Exile" to our summer reading list.  It is the story of a twelve - year- old girl who is raised in a foster village.  When she's returned to her biological parents, she discovers that home is not what she expected it to be.

All rising 6th, 7th, and 8th graders at FMMS (including rising 8th graders taking English I) should read TWO of the books from the SCJBA Nominee list during the summer.  We also encourage students to read additional books of their choosing.  When students return to school in August, they should be prepared to have book discussions about the SCJBA books they read.  Happy reading!
